Yazoo County – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is excited to announce that Wolf Lake located in Yazoo and Humphreys Counties will reopen for fishing and boating on Tuesday at 6 am.
Wolf Lake, a 1,000-acre oxbow of the Yazoo River popular for crappie and catfish anglers, was closed in April 2025 due to flooding and high water — this order was pursuant to the authority of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, as authorized by the Commission.
