SALT LAKE CITY — A motorcyclist was killed after being hit early Monday in Salt Lake City by a driver who then left them there, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Just after 1 a.m., officers were on scene investigating the crash at 2100 S. 400 East. SLCPD said the car’s driver ran a stop sign, hit the 67-year-old motorcyclist, and did not stop.
The motorcyclist was critically hurt and transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
SLCPD told KSL that the suspect’s vehicle was a light color sedan.
Sgt. Miles Southworth with SLCPD is asking anyone with video of the accident to contact them to help find who is responsible.
