New Paltz observed Memorial Day in accordance with the custom of honoring the dead soldiers. Main Street was bedecked with uniform flags. This is a new feature of flag display in our nation and it added greatly to the beauty of our village. The parade formed at the Sullivan Shafer Post rooms at 10 A.M.
