A fire near Prater Way in the 2500 block of D Street in Sparks burned a debris pile and part of a structure Monday, June 2, sending two people to the hospital, authorities said.
About 5:30 p.m., Reno and Sparks fire crews responded to the area of View and D streets. Sparks Fire Chief Walt White told the RGJ it was a large exterior wood pile that caught fire.
The fire was contained shortly after 7:15 p.m., officials said.
One vehicle and parts of the main structure on D Street were damaged, according to Sparks fire officials. The extent of the damage was not immediately known.
