Russia and Ukraine held a second round of talks in Istanbul, but failed to reach an agreement to end the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that the delegations agreed on another prisoner swap of 1,000 from each side. Kyiv demanded an unconditional truce, Moscow in turn proposed a ceasefire for two-to-three days along certain parts of the front to allow the evacuation of war dead.
