Cove Presbyterian Church’s endowment committee honored six area graduates with scholarships during morning worship on Sunday. The Chad Pickens Scholarship was awarded to Elizabeth Flesher and Clyde Flesher, children of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Flesher of Weirton. Elizabeth will attend West Virginia University for music. Clyde will attend West Virginia Northern Community College for business and accounting. The scholarship was created in memory of Pickens, a member of Cove Church who died from a baseball injury.
