HARPERS FERRY — Roy Banjoman and Charles Wall likely did not anticipate back in 1982, when the two graduated together from Jefferson High School, that they would spend the majority of their working lives together in the same building — one on one end and one on the other.
Yet, now, decades after taking jobs at Harpers Ferry Middle School, the two completed their final years as physical education teacher and coach and band director, respectively.
Banjoman began his Harpers Ferry teaching career after graduating from Bluefield State with a degree in physical education and social studies. He taught briefly at Charles Town Junior High before returning to Harpers Ferry, where he had been a student himself.
