CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (WJZY) -- Authorities are asking the public to come forward with any information that could help solve a mass shooting that killed one man and injured 11 others over the weekend in Catawba County.

In an effort to move the case forward, the FBI is now offering a $15,000 reward for details leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of those responsible.

The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, during a party at a home on Walnut Acres Drive, located in the Mountain View community of Catawba County.

One man, identified as Shawn Patrick Hood, 58, of Lenoir, died following the shooting. Eleven others were injured, some from gunfire, others hurt while trying to escape the chaos, according to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
