ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - It is summer in Rochester (meteorological summer, anyway) and that often pairs with wildfire smoke. Expect a haze overhead as the smoke rides the jet stream and spreads across New York State skies.
Temperatures keep climbing on today. Expect highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s here with a continued haze. Flow remains out of the southwest. Potentially the warmest day of the year so far could fall on Wednesday as the southwest flow sends afternoon highs well into the 80s. A cold front will approach from the west and stretch across the Great Lakes here, but it does not arrive at Western New York until later Wednesday night into early Thursday.
Expect some showers Thursday morning, but the front quickly exits east. Temperatures come down here with highs in the middle
