CRESCENT – Ben Taylor tossed a two-hitter as Barton blanked visiting Weirton, 2-0, in Ohio Valley Baseball League action on Henning Field inside Pramesa Park.

The former Wheeling Park High School and Fairmont State University graduate struck out seven and walked three in his route-going performance.

The Braves (4-1) scored both runs in the second inning against the A’s. Jake Winland had an RBI single. Zach Smith doubled.

In other action, Bethany unloaded on Colerain 10-0 and Maynard (3-1) took down defending OVBL league champion Wheeling, 11-7.
