(Seguin) — The 2025 Texas Collegiate League season opens for the Seguin River Monsters tonight.

The Monsters will host the defending league champion Victoria Generals for their home opener this evening at Smokey Joe Williams Field. Tonight’s game is the first of back-to-back games at Smokey Joe with the Generals. The River Monsters open the season under third-year manager Tony Perez. Perez and the River Monsters captured the TCL title in his first season with the team in 2023.

First pitch for tonight’s opener between the River Monsters and Generals is set for 7:05 p.m. at Smokey Joe. The River Monsters will head to Lafayette, Louisiana on Thursday and Friday to take on the Acadiana Cane Cutters and then they’ll be back in Seguin on Saturday and Sunday to face the Baton Rouge Rougarou.
