A doggie daycare in Tennessee is taking protective steps after it experienced a "freak occurrence" when a hawk "swooped down and picked up a 3-pound Yorkie" recently.

A June 1st Facebook post from the business says, "Please know that we are all devastated."

The post says that on Saturday, an employee let the small dogs out into their yard to potty.

While the dogs were doing their business, the worker went to clean another area within earshot.

That was when nature came calling in the form of a raptor looking for prey.We have been looking for him in hopes to recover his body or by chance he got away," the post read.
