TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A Taylorsville woman is facing 104 felony charges related to accusations of stealing rental payments from tenants.
Malisha Alei Fasavalu, 34, was charged on Monday, June 2, with second-degree felony theft, second-degree felony communications fraud and 102 charges of third-degree felony possession of forgery writing.
According to charging documents, Fasavalu worked as an employee for a property management company and would regularly accept checks and money orders for rental payments. Several clients reportedly claimed Fasavalu would have them complete the payment check in her own name.
