Several Wyoming County ambulance companies are receiving help courtesy of a donation campaign put together by the Wyoming County Community Health Foundation.
At a Wyoming County Commissioners meeting on May 27, Commissioner Rick Wilbur read a letter from the WCCHF stating that financial contributions are still being accepted for the EMS staffing program, and that approximately $300,000 has already been raised with local businesses, organizations and donors donating.
The money raised will be distributed among Kunkle Fire & Ambulance, Meshoppen Fire Company’s Ambulance, FWM Emergency Service out of Mehoopany, and Tunkhannock Community Ambulance. It comes as these companies are moving to some paid EMS staff to run their ambulances as ambul
