NASHVILLE − On the evening of its grand opening , President Donald Trump fired off support to his long-time friend Kid Rock promoting his new Music City eatery, set to officially launch June 3.

"Congratulations to my friend, Kid Rock (I call him Bob!), on the grand opening of his new Nashville restaurant, 'The Detroit Cowboy,'" Trump wrote in a post on TruthSocial. "I hear it is a very friendly MAGA establishment, and look forward to going there sometime soon!"

The endorsement caught the attention of Rock, whose real name is Robert James Richie .

"Thank you, Mr. President," Kid Rock responded on X.

The musician, who lives in Nashville, also owns a bar and steakhouse on Lower Broadway along Nashville's famous honkytonk row.
