LOS ANGELES — Mark Vientos suffered a hamstring injury Monday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and it sure sounds like he’s heading toward the injured list.

Vientos ran out of the box on a ground ball in the top of the 10th inning in the Mets’ 4-3 extra-inning win , collapsing almost immediately. After a few seconds, he came up clutching his right hamstring, taking a moment before attempting to put weight on it. Eventually, he walked off mostly on his own, with some minimal help by first base coach Antoan Richardson.

It was a hard-hit ball in the hole on the left side, and had he been able to run he might have been able to beat the tag.

“It didn’t look good,” manager Carlos Mendoza said of the play. “He’s going through all of the testing and we’ve got to wait.”
