HARDY, Ark. — On June 2, Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose was arrested after a multi-agency investigation into child sexual abuse allegations.
The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on March 31 and launched an investigation into the claims. Early interviews revealed that much of the early information was based on rumor.
However, after interviewing the alleged victim and her family, they stated that there had been incidents of sexual contact and other forms of abuse.
Scott Rose was charged with second-degree sexual assault, sexual indecency with a child, endangering the welfare of a minor, and knowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor.
