EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A crowd gathered in Evansville on Tuesday to protest charges against a man connected to a 2015 murder.

The crowd gathered in front of the court building on Tuesday morning in support of Bobby Handegard, who's being charged with murder in the 2015 death of local DJ Shane Breedlove.

Signs and t-shirts at the protest in support of Bobby displayed messages such as "not guilty", "where is the evidence", "falsely accused", and more.

Bobby's mother spoke with us at the protest, and says the wrong person has been arrested.

"We are here in support of our son today just to represent him and to represent his innocence. He's a very good, honest, hard working man," says Jennifer Handegard, Bobby's mother. "This has been a burden and frankly just harassment on our family fo
