"Sinners" is now streaming.
The movie, set in Clarksdale, Mississippi , features Michael B. Jordan in a double role. The horror film follows twins Smoke and Stack in the 1930s after they return from Chicago to their small town, where blues legend Robert Johnson is rumored to have sold his soul at the Devil's Crossroads to secure his talent. They start a juke joint, running into some unwelcome guests along the way.
The 138-minute film was released in theaters on April 18. But Clarksdale doesn't have a movie theater.
An open letter asking writer and director Ryan Coogler to arrange a screening went viral in May. He delivered. On IMAX, no less. The first of six free showings in the Mississippi community was on May 29.
