The countdown is nearly over! This Saturday, June 7th, Community Animal Rescue & Adoption (CARA) will host its much-anticipated 16th Annual Dog Days of Summer event at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park at Mayes Lake from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a day the Jackson community looks forward to all year, mixing family fun, live entertainment, and the chance to support rescue animals in need.

The event has something for everyone. Families can look forward to a pet parade and contest where pups of all shapes and sizes will be celebrated. Kids will have a blast at the children’s carnival, featuring a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, bubbles, and even free Blue Bell ice cream.

The sounds of live music by Blind Dog Otis will provide the perfect backdrop as visitors browse the booths of local Arts
