OKLAHOMA CITY — It took a one-two punch from the state of Texas to dethrone a dynastic Oklahoma program.

Now, Texas softball and longtime rival Texas Tech will try and win the first national championship for either program.After the Longhorns knocked No. 2 Oklahoma — the highest-seeded squad remaining at the Women's College World Series — into the loser's bracket with a 4-2 win Saturday, Texas Tech finished off the Sooner with a dramatic 3-2 victory Sunday at Devon Park.

Oklahoma couldn't score against Tech ace NiJaree Canady until the top of the seventh inning, when Abigale Dayton lifted a two-out, two-run homer into the left-field bleachers to tie the game at 2-2.
