A thief who was caught after his blood was found at the scene has been jailed for more than three years. Macauley Coutts, 29, was linked to a burglary in Mobberley, Cheshire, after his DNA was found by police at the address.
The incident was reported by a resident on Blakeley Lane at around 6.05pm on Tuesday 4 March 2025. Police found that the back doors of the property had been smashed to gain entry at some time between 9.40am and 6pm that day, while no-one was at home.
Every room had been searched by the suspect. Spare keys to two Audi vehicles had been stolen, along with two watches.
Officers located blood at the scene and forensic samples were taken. This provided a match to Coutts and a warrant was subsequently executed on Tuesday 11 March at an address in Wythenshawe , however
