JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - Eastbound traffic on I-10 will be backed up in Jackson County due to a slow-moving wide load vehicle.
Officials said a truck carrying oversized cargo is too big to fit under the Pollock Ferry Road overpass by the Escatawpa River.
Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is detouring eastbound traffic at Highway 63 so the oversized load can back up several miles to exit the highway.
MHP said the truck is only able to travel around 4 mph.
According to MHP, the delays will last for an extended period of time.
