FORMER New England Patriots star David Andrews broke down in tears as he announced his retirement.
The two-time Super Bowl winner spent the last ten years with the Patriots.
But he was released in March after picking up a career-ending injury in week 4.
He featured regularly for the Patriots down the years, playing 124 games in NFL .
Andrews, 32, was a key part of the team that won the Super Bowl in 2017 and 2019.
The center became emotional as he announced his retirement during a press conference.
He said: "For my whole career I've been surrounded by the best team anyone could ask for.
"So today, I'd like to show my gratitude for those who sacrificed and helped me.
"First off, I have to thank the good Lord. He's blessed me with more than I could have asked for and none of this
