SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are asking for help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that took the life of a 67-year-old motorcyclist in the Liberty Wells neighborhood.

The incident occurred late Sunday night at approximately 10:45 p.m. at 2100 South and 400 East intersection, near Kearns-Saint Ann School.

Authorities said the driver of a light-colored sedan ran a stop sign on 400 East before colliding with the motorcyclist traveling on 2100 South.

Several 911 calls were made about the crash, and responding officers found the victim critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away.
