Texas authorities investigating the fatal shooting of Jonathan Joss , known for roles on “King of the Hill” and “Parks and Recreation,” said they have so far uncovered no evidence to suggest his killing was a hate crime.
Joss was visiting the site of his former home just south of San Antonio when he was gunned down Sunday evening. When authorities arrived, they found the 59-year-old actor in the roadway and “attempted life-saving measures,” but to no avail. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Witnesses later told investigators Joss was locked in an argument with his neighbor, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, prior to the gunfire. He was arrested on a murder charge and remained behind bars as of Tuesday afternoon.
