A senior Guernsey politician says his home has been targeted by vandals after the tyres on his motorbike, electric bike and his grandson's car were slashed.

Deputy Peter Roffey, who is standing down following this month's election , discovered the damage when returning to the island on Friday following a family bereavement.

The Employment and Social Security Committee President explains he does not know who carried out the acts, but believes they are politically motivated and is urging those involved to talk to him about their issues.

Deputy Roffey adds: "I'm fairly sure it is somebody that I've upset, and if I've upset someone at all then I'm sorry, but come and talk about it.
