UNO baseball player Bryce Calloway has announced that he’ll be entering the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.

Calloway, a New Orleans native, played the last two seasons at UNO and earned first team All-Southland honors in 2025. He had a strong senior season as both a hitter and a pitcher, leading the Privateers in several major statistical categories.

Calloway posted a statement to X on Monday.

“The last two years of my life have been enveloped in Privateer baseball. New Orleans is my home and will forever be. I have loved every moment of being back home, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

Calloway then thanked the UNO coaching staff and teammates before his announcement.
