PHOENIX — Former Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jason Conti has died.

The team posted the news on social media on Monday. The cause of his death was not immediately released. He was 50 years old.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Jason’s family and friends at this time," the D-backs post read.

Conti was drafted by the D-backs in the 32nd round of the 1996 draft and played in parts of two seasons with Arizona.
