INDIANAPOLIS — Two teenagers were arrested during a gun investigation on Indianapolis' near east side.

IMPD said investigators with the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF) arrested 18-year-old James Dycus Jr. and a 17-year-old male on May 28.

Police said ICGTF officers were conducting an investigation in the 3000 block of East 10th Street , near North Rural Street, for Dycus because he had an active felony warrant for possession of a machine gun stemming from a prior investigation.

Dycus was seen walking with a "known juvenile," IMPD said.

Investigators used drone technology and were able to allegedly see Dycus hand a gun to the juvenile before going into a gas station. When the two walked out of the gas station, police said the juvenile handed the gun back to Dycus.
