KETK News in Tyler is reporting that a woman was arrested after she stole a wig from the corpse of a woman in a Tyler funeral home.

According to the report, Tonya Boyd went into the body preparation room and took the wig, but she was caught by funeral home staff who called Tyler Police.

The report also said the funeral home director told police that Boyd was in the funeral home earlier in the day and she was asked to leave, but she returned and stole the wig.

Boyd was taken to the Smith County Jail where she was charged with Theft of Property from a Human Corpse.
