Smoke from Canadian wildfires has drifted thousands of miles to Guilford and Forsyth counties.

As a result, ozone and particulate levels in the region were in the moderate range Tuesday, according to the Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection, which monitors air quality in the Triad.

Moderate readings mean conditions are acceptable for most people but could be unhealthy for sensitive groups such as children, the elderly and people with heart or lung conditions.
