More than a few people probably wish they had $1.375 million to buy the historic Levy Mansion in downtown Reno to fill it with books.

The home of the former, beloved Sundance Books and Music at 121 California Ave. is for sale.

The 4,700-square-foot, three-story mansion that's on the National Register of Historic Places has been empty since Sundance closed on May 31, 2024.

The Nevada Museum of Art owns the building and used some of the property for storage during construction of a museum expansion over the last year. The property is listed by Dickson Commercial Realty.

In February, museum CEO David Walker told the Reno Gazette Journal they were looking for a tenant that would be a good fit with the neighborhood.
