WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fielded a variety of questions during the press briefing Tuesday.
Leavitt said the president is focused on seeing his ‘big, beautiful bill’ pass the Senate by July 4th.
Leavitt downplayed criticism of the bill by tech billionaire Elon Musk who just left the administration as an advisor with the Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk wrote on X, "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."
Leavitt said the president is aware of Musk’s opinion of the bill but it "doesn't change the president's opinion."
