The Air Quality Index could reach the unhealthy red category in some regions. Smoke levels in northwestern Iowa have been unhealthy since Tuesday morning and both sensitive groups and the general public might feel the effects. The smoke is expected to move southward across the state, and fine particulate levels may remain elevated for several days.
