LUBBOCK, Texas – The Scurry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a deceased man was found in a bar ditch near the FM 1606 and County Road 394 intersection on June 2.

Deputies and EMS were dispatched to the scene around 8 a.m. and found the deceased male.

The identity of the man has not been released, pending informing any possible family.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is working diligently with the Texas Rangers to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
