Three young sisters were found dead days after they vanished with their father in Washington, authorities said.

The father, 32-year-old Travis Decker , was last seen with his daughters at about 5 p.m. May 30 as they were leaving their home, the Wenatchee Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Decker took the girls, aged 5, 8 and 9 years old, on a planned visitation, police said.

But he was reported to police when neither he nor the girls were heard from again, authorities said.

Authorities began searching for Decker and the girls, checking local motels in East Wenatchee and Wenatchee, but they didn’t turn up, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
