A busload of local athletes found success over the weekend in Cedar City competing in the Special Olympics Summer Games. The 12 athletes brought home 16 Gold, 7 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals. “It was a blast,” shares Coach Wendy Harris. “The athletes practice all year and they are so excited to go! I love coaching the Uintah Dino’s for Special Olympics Utah because they are dedicated and always willing to learn. They get so excited when they compete and achieve their goals.” Harris says she cares about swim safety and loves watching the athletes improve. She thanked the school district for the use of the bus and the rec center for providing a place these athletes practice. The group will continue to set goals and improve for the next competition which will be area games next May. Congratulat
