BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A Wisconsin man was taken into custody on Tuesday after leading authorities on a pursuit and traveling through a field before getting stuck in the mud.
According to the Barron County Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on County Road M near U.S. Highway 8 for traffic and registration infractions.
The vehicle allegedly continued north on County Road M in Barron County, reaching speeds of around 70 miles per hour. The suspect proceeded through the county and pulled into an address in Rusk County.
At this point, a deputy from the Barron County Sheriff's Office attempted a PIT maneuver, but it was unsuccessful.
The suspect then drove into a field, where the vehicle became stuck in the mud.
