KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Multiple people across the Kansas City area are without power as severe storms continue moving across the metro.

Multiple tornado warnings remain in effect until 3 p.m., including southeastern Clay County, southwestern Ray County and northeastern Jackson County. Please take cover now if you are in these areas.

In Missouri, Evergy is reporting 1,467 customers are without power in Jackson County and 300 in Clay County as of 2:50 p.m.

On the Kansas side, Evergy is reporting 2,346 customers without power in Johnson County, 1,978 in Douglas County and 101 in Leavenworth County as of 2:50 p.m.
