Late spring continues to deliver northern lights viewing chances for people along the northern edge of the United States.

After the weekend’s severe geomagnetic storm , Wednesday night will give skywatchers another chance to see the auroras when the “view line” is expected to touch the northeast border of Oregon.

Earth is currently in the midst of the “solar maximum” of solar cycle 25, an approximately 11-year cycle of magnetic activity coming from the sun , which will last into 2026.
