JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio (WCHS) — Two men were arrested following a pursuit Monday in Jackson County, Ohio, troopers said.

The incident started about 4:15 p.m. when a trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on U.S. 35 in Jackson County, according to a news release from Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Derek Blubaugh, 31, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, led them on a lengthy chase along local and township roads that eventually ended when troopers used a PIT maneuver on the vehicle on Sour Run Road.

During the chase, investigators said suspected illegal drugs were thrown from the vehicle which were later recovered.

A passenger in the vehicle, Jermaine Carr, 49, of Dayton, Ohio, was also arrested on a felony warrant for robbery in Franklin
