MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with murder after he shot a man outside a Frayser shopping center, according to Memphis Police Department.

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, just before 12:35 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at a shopping center on Frayser Boulevard.

Officers found a 22-year-old victim, Joshlyn Dyson, suffering from a gunshot wound .

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators collected video and evidence from the scene. They discovered a 17-year-old boy as the suspect.

On Tuesday, the MPD Fugitive Unit found the teen suspect at a home on Greenwood Street and took him into custody.

He was charged with first-degree murder in the perpetration of an aggravated robbery.
