(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Disney was far from the happiest place on Earth for several hundred employees Monday. It's how many the House of the Mouse fired.
The company says the layoffs are primarily jobs that work in marketing for movies and TV, publicity, casting and development. Corporate finance was also impacted.
It's just the latest round of job eliminations that have become commonplace since Bob Iger returned to lead the company in 2022 .
But those cuts have been relatively small compared to how many people Disney employs.
The entertainment giant has about 233,000 workers.
Of course, many of those jobs are low-paying service level positions at Disney's theme parks and resorts.
