OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One of the suspects in a shooting that killed one man in 2024 was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.

Chit Lay, 26, was sentenced to 64-88 years in prison for the charges of manslaughter, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Lay previously pled “no contest” to those charges in March.

Wah Say, 19, was convicted on multiple charges in the case, also in March. Say was sentenced to 60-107 years in prison for his charges.

Say is also facing charges in a separate case where another man was critically wounded in a shooting on the same day as the shooting.

In March 2024, Omaha Police responded to a shooting report near 48th and Spaulding streets that led to a pursuit into Iowa.
