AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)- Neighbors are left in shock Tuesday after a 16-month-old was found dead, and another young child was sent to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
“I looked out the window, saw a bunch of sirens. Fire trucks, police cars, ambulances. I couldn’t really tell where they were, but they were right along in here and I knew something bad had to be happening," said Sonia Jones.
The Richmond County Coroner's Office responded to a home on Ward Avenue in South Augusta after reports of a child death.
A 16-month-old child was found dead at the home, and another young child was transported to the Children's Hospital of Georgia.
