DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The victim of a deadly shooting in Durham last week has been identified, police said Tuesday.
According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded on May 30 around midnight to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Rowemont Drive near Whippoorwill Park.
Police said they found three people, a man and two women, inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. All three were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The man was identified as 23-year-old Christopher Piedrasanta-Perez of Durham. He died from his injuries after the shooting, according to Durham police.
The incident remains under investigation. Police said no further information is available as of Tuesday.
