LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A Leavenworth woman who used Facebook Messenger to harass a man has pleaded no contest to charges and will await sentencing next month.
Court documents in Leavenworth County said 44-year-old Miranda R. Spurling will be sentenced July 2, 2025, for charges of interference with a law enforcement officer and harassment by telecommunication device.
Spurling’s charges stemmed from an incident on Feb. 22, 2025, in which Leavenworth Police responded to a home where a man told them he’d received threatening messages from her several times. The man told officers he’d blocked Spurling’s Facebook accounts four times but she continued to create new accounts to contact him.
In one message, investigators said Spurling told the man he “deserves a bullet between the eyes.”
