LINCOLN, Neb. —
Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen honored Husker softball standout Jordy Bahl at the state capitol on Tuesday.
The Nebraska softball pitcher was given a legislative resolution congratulating her for winning the Big Ten player of the year as well as the Big Ten pitcher of the year.
The governor also gave her an admiralship to the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska .
"To be in our state capitol building, receiving this is really special. And I just think it's just another amazing thing that I wasn't even on my radar when I transferred home," Bahl said. "But it's just been another blessing of being able to be home and to be able to represent this state and wear the jersey and all the things have been an honor and a blessing."
