CHICAGO (WLS) -- Anthony Williams is breaking barriers with his filmmaking.

"Fear keeps people paralyzed. I don't subscribe to fear," Williams said. "I recognize that fear exists, but I move through fear. I don't let fear stop me."

Williams, who now lives in Chicago, grew up in Arkansas, but moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. However, he found the lack of diverse, original content in Hollywood frustrating.

"I was like, 'there's nothing out here that represents who I am as a Black person, or as a queer person, or as anything,'" Williams said.

In 2009, he moved to North Carolina, where he started his production company, Second Glance Productions.
